A New Wallet

Posted by Tim Foley on January 28th, 2010

I’ve been making paper wallets for a few years now. Here’s my latest. I used some Japanese paper treated with map sealant for extra strength. Click through for more photos. I’ll probably post pictures of my retired wallets soon.

BUZZ-SAW-FOR-A-HAND FLOATING KILLBOT?!!! RUN!!!!

Today I felt like making something with the containers I’ve been saving from all the box-lunches I eat. The material is the perfect thickness for crafts (see nap light). I’ve wanted to make some robots pretty badly; here’s the first. Click the picture for more photos, or go here.

Plushy Squid Fun!

Posted by Tim Foley on January 11th, 2009

More squids. Yay! I put this together during finals week; it was the only thing keeping me sane. I used the last scraps from my squid costume fabric to make this. Very soon I hope to make my own army of toy squids. For future purchase? I hope so!

Squid Costume!

Well, here it is. I’m either getting attacked by this squid, or am some kind of part-squid part-man creature; it’s up for interpretation. This is my craftiest project yet. I hand-sewed everything except for 4 of the tentacles (my Aunt helped me out with those). I used snaps to attach the tentacles to my shirt, and mesh from my laundry basket for the eyes. It’s really too bad that Halloween is only one day!

I think I’ll add some spots for next year.
